Animal Sighting Report Form

Thank you for reporting your sighting to Where Light Meets Dark.

Purpose

This form is for reporting the sighting of any unusual animal and may include thylacines (Tasmanian tigers), mainland Tasmanian devils, big cats, or any other incident which seems unusual to you.

Privacy

Where Light Meets Dark respects your privacy, and will not sell or pass on your contact details in any way to anyone without your consent. From time to time, Where Light Meets Dark shares sighting reports with the Australian Rare Fauna Research Association (ARFRA), but will only do so if you provide consent (below).

All care is taken to protect the details of your sighting, but please be aware that the Where Light Meets Dark website and its database are hosted by an independent web hosting company. This means that Where Light Meets Dark can not and does not guarantee that the information you provide is protected against unauthorised access. By proceeding with your submission, you accept the terms described on this page.

How to use this form

For each sighting, please respond to the following questions appropriately. If you are unable to complete a question, feel free to leave it blank and optionally provide additional information in the last question. Please feel free to make a general enquiry, or ask for any clarifications via the Where Light Meets Dark contact form.

The expression "WLMD" refers to "Where Light Meets Dark". The expression "Where Light Meets Dark" refers to the owner/operator of this website and any person that has or will assist with the operation of this website

All questions are on this one page.

The first seven questions allow you to specify whether I have permission to publish your sighting information (with or without names, depending on your responses), and whether I may share this report with ARFRA or other researchers.

3. * Do you grant permission to WLMD to forward all details of the sighting (even if these were supplied over time in a number of separate messages) to the Australian Rare Fauna Research Association (ARFRA) (see www.arfra.org)?
