Hey Chris - thanks for mentioning my puny efforts! Thst web page (http://www.thylacoleo.com/tassie_devils/index_devil.htm) is still under construc, so lots of dead links, typos & etc.
I should have the pictures of the museum specimens developed within a day or two. Two specimens of mainland Tassie Devils were very kindly made available to us for examination. One was an adult male found at Dereel (near Ballarat?) in 1971, the other was a juvenile female that was found at Tooborac. No date on the female specimen's tag but it has the latitude+longitude recorded, so that will be helpful. Both specimen tags have Museum reference numbers, so it may be possible to track down further info. I will put all this information, as well as the pics, on Thylacoleo's web site pretty soon.
