Endangered crane shot dead in Shillapoo Wildlife Area

The Sandhill crane has been listed as endangered since 1991. Officers found one shot in the leg which later died of multiple leg fractures and wing injuries. A US$500 reward is being posted. Photo.

It has been 2 years and a few days since Klaus Emmerichs took two photographs of what he claims is a thylacine in the Tasmanian wilderness. He and Birgit Jansen have returned in their second attempt to now capture the animal on video.
